I am a Welsh creative and inclusive facilitator who works with a range of participants to improve their mental wellbeing and quality of life through creative art activities. As a facilitator, I work with the approach of person-centred, meaning I tailor the sessions to the needs, wants and likes of the individual, creating a very personal journey. whilst facilitating the sessions, I adapt to what the participant(s) wants, whether it's calming or active, the overall sessions are to support positive wellbeing through therapeutic art.
Since I was a child, I always thrived when I was being creative, I adored being able to create different pieces of art where I could express my personality. To me, all art is fascinating as it's a representation of one's self. Growing up, I always wanted to work on improving mental wellbeing in others I was able to combine both passions when I discovered my University degree.
As an artist, my main focus is realistic portraiture as I adore recreating all the small details that make people unique, I find the process therapeutic, focusing on each shade, tone and detail. However, I enjoy experimenting with a range of art mediums.
In my practice as a Creative and Inclusive Facilitator, I have worked with a diverse number of individuals. I have worked with teenagers with learning difficulties/ disabilities, adults with learning difficulties/ disabilities, families, mental health challenges, loss, and older adults with dementia.
From my experience with participants and working with different organisations, I keep evolving and adapting my practice to gain the best outcome for the participants.
If you are interested in hiring me for community artwork projects/ collaborations, participating in 1-1 or group therapeutic art sessions or commissions then go over to my contact page and message me your enquiries.
